Projection

The portion of an entity’s information that a particular audience is permitted to receive.

An entity usually holds far more than any single audience should see. Rather than maintaining separate copies for each audience, Kroy defines projections over the same record. Change the record, and every projection reflects it — within its own boundary.

Projections are how Kroy shares the right information without sharing everything.

Example

A practice’s record for ABC Limited contains accounts, documents, AML notes and profitability. The client projection contains only approved accounts, client documents, outstanding requests and deadlines.

Projection, drawn

One record. Different views.

  1. One record.

ABC Limited holds accounts, documents, requests, internal notes, AML and profitability.

  2. The client’s projection.

Approved accounts, documents and requests. Nothing internal.

  3. The public projection.

Only what the firm chooses to publish — its name as a client, if at all.
